Ultrasonic Cavitation, also known as non-surgical liposuction, is a body contouring treatment widely recognized as a very effective local fat loss reducing technology available today. At Arlene Antoinette Skincare, low frequency Ultrasonic Cavitation is simultaneously combined with skin tightening Radio Frequency, negative pressure massage or Lymphatic Drainage. This unique treatment combination ensures that our clients receive a comprehensive treatment, so they experience. The best possible results.
Ultrasonic Cavitation technology is not a miracle, but if you suffer from cellulite or you want a non-surgical solution for local fat deposit reduction, it is a safe and effective technology you can use to help solve these issues.
How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?
Ultrasonic Cavitation works by breaking down deep stubborn local fat tissues which are subsequently disposed of through the lymphatic and urinary systems.
Ultrasound frequencies cause thousands of microscopic air bubbles to surround the lipocyte (fat cell) and with vibration, the bubbles create enough pressure to cause the fat cells to rupture. The contents of the broken lipocytes are then moved through the lymphatic system to the liver and are safely metabolized and excreted from the body. It is crucial that you drink 2 liters of water per day, both the day of treatment and on subsequent days to help your body detoxify and reveal new contour.
The procedure works best to remove superficial fat layers and fat accumulation that is non-volumetric. Results can be noticed after the first treatment with more significant improvement noticed within a few days, once the lymphatic system has had a chance to remove the waste. The results are cumulative. Each treatment builds upon the previous. A major part of the success of this treatment lies in the lymphatic system’s ability to efficiently remove the fat contents. We combine this treatment with an effective lymphatic drainage massage for maximum results. Ultrasonic Cavitation works wonderful by itself but is even more effective when paired with Radio Frequency (RF) treatments.
What are Radio Frequency treatments?
Radio frequency skin tightening is an aesthetic technique that uses radio frequency (RF) energy to heat skin with the purpose of stimulating cutaneous collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin. RF uses safe levels of heat to penetrate the dermis. This forces the body to produce new collagen, whether it wants to anymore or not. When combined with cavitation and lymphatic drainage, the results can be quite impressive.
Does it work on cellulite?
Sometimes low frequency ultrasound works well on cellulite by focusing the cavitation effect on the superficial fat tissue, but ultrasonic cavitation alone may not show much improvement. When it comes to cellulite, better results are obtained when the ultrasound is applied in conjunction with radio frequency and lymphatic drainage protocol.
What happens to the released fat?
Excess fat is released into the interstitial space between the cells- this is where lymphatic fluid lives. Here it is metabolized to glycerol and fatty free acids. Glycerol that is water soluble is absorbed by the circulatory system and used as an energy source. The insoluble fatty free acids are transported through the liver and processed as if fatty acids from food and then eliminated naturally from the body.
What kind of results should I expect?
The results from ultrasonic cavitation will vary individually, but you can typically expect to see an overall more contoured appearance and reduced circumference of the treatment area. It is important to go in with realistic expectations. While results can be comparable to liposuction, this is a non-surgical procedure that works with the body’s natural detoxification processes. The results are gradual over a number of weeks as your body clears the broken-down fat cell contents. It is notuncommon to achieve up to 10 cm reduction by the end of the program. The results can be long lasting provided you follow a healthy and conscious lifestyle. However, it is easy to deposit fat again into the cells if you put on a certain amount of weight. Ultimately the result may vary depending on the individuals different tissue structure, treatment area and lifestyle.
How many treatments are needed and how often should they be performed?
Often time you’ll see results after the first session, but generally most clients start to see a difference after 3 treatments. However, between 8 and 12 sessions are needed for maximum results. The exact number of treatments needed for your final result will vary due to factors such as age, weight, hormonal conditions, metabolism, medication, genetic predisposition, and the area being treated.
A typical session lasts between 30-60 minutes depending on the area being treated. 48-72 hours must pass between each session for the body to eliminate the excess. We recommend committing to treatment once or twice a week for best results.
What should I do at home after and in between sessions?
Your part of the program is to drink at least 2 liters of purified water a day during the course of treatment to assist your body in flushing the unwanted material. To help with your detox and water intake, we offer vitamin and mineral supplementsto maximize your results and for overall support during the entire process. It is best to follow a light clean diet so that your body can focus its energy on detoxifying and clearing out the contents of the fat cells, and other existing stagnation in the lymphatic system.
In which areas is Ultrasonic Cavitation most effective?
All parts of the body where localized adiposity reside. Legs, abdomen, hips and buttocks are the most appropriate sites but there’s no real limitation regarding body areas. Areas that are too close to bone to safely receive ultrasound can benefit from the skin tightening and contouring associated with radio frequency and negative pressure or lymphatic drainage massage. An example of such areas would be the ankles and under the chin.
Is there any pain or downtime associated with this procedure?
Ultrasonic cavitation with radio frequency is virtually painless with no downtime reported afterward. Actually, the treatment is warming and relaxing and when combined with negative pressure massage, the feeling is quite luxurious. During the treatment you will feel a soothing heat in the targeted area. A little blushing or redness may occasionally appear, but it does not cause pain. The heat generated is perfectly tolerable on the skin.
There may be a slight tinnitus like noise in the inner ear due to the specific low frequency ultrasound, but it poses no harm and disappears as soon as you are no longer in contact with the transducer. If it becomes bothersome, we recommend bringing in ear buds or headphones to listen to.
It is also possible to feel a little sluggish afterward due to the body’s detoxification and strong lymphatic movement so it is best to schedule when you can rest, if even necessary. Every individual will respond differently but once the fat contents and waste are processed by the body, you should experience increased energy and well-being, as with our lymphatic drainage treatment.
Is Ultrasonic Cavitation a weight loss treatment?
No. Ultrasonic cavitation is NOT a method to lose weight but rather to shape the body. It is not for highly obese individuals. The treatment is used to reduce stubborn fatty pockets that just won’t go away with diet and exercise. You won’t be able to measure your success by how much fatty tissue you’ve lost, but instead by how many inches you’ve shrunk in your treatment area. It won’t provide the same fat removal power of as surgical liposuction or decrease the number on the scale on it’s own, but it should help you slim down your waist, stomach, hips, thighs or upper arms.
Generally speaking, the circumferential reduction experienced is enough for people who are within 15-25 lbs. of their goal weight who just want to smooth, tighten, and tone a specific body area.
However, if you are overweight and not a candidate just yet for fat cavitation, we have other options for you including referrals to medical weight loss practitioners, supplements to help boost your energy, detoxify the body and to help you kickstart your metabolism when taking the first step on your weight loss journey.
Is Ultrasonic Cavitation a safe treatment?
Yes. It is a nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia. It is non-invasive so there’s no cutting involved. It leaves no scars and no need for post-operative care or medications. It allows for a full work and social life after sessions and during the entire course of treatment. This procedure is totally safe and the technology is FDA approved.
